Dial-A-Spy was made for the 2003 National Film Challenge, in which competing teams of filmmakers across the country were challenged to make a short film—conception to completion—in three days. To keep everyone honest, teams were given a randomly-selected genre and a list of elements that must appear in the film. Our required elements were:

  • Character: Jesse Thomas, Success Coach
  • Prop: Bicycle
  • Line of dialogue: “Can’t you see I’m working here?”
  • Genre: Spy

Competing against approximately eighty teams, Dial-A-Spy won the “Best Spy Film” and “Best Graphics” awards.

Responsibilities (with a team): Writing, Producing, and Directing
